Karen
Frenkel is a
professional landscape photographer living and working in the Peak
District National Park. Aware of the
subtlety of changing light and landscape around her, Karen is often out
early in the morning to catch the rising mist and the first frosts of
winter, and into the evenings for the last light of the day, capturing
images evocative of a hidden Derbyshire often missed by visitors and
residents alike. Her
dedicated approach means she often returns to the same spot time after
time throughout the seasons seeking out those fleeting moments when
weather conditions and dramatic light combine to make her photographs
more unique.
She
holds an extensive library of images which have been widely published in
books, magazines and calendars throughout the country. She is also the
sole illustrator for the books Peak
Villages and Ramblers Guide
to The Peak District and a
regular contributor to Peak
District Life, Derbyshire Life and
Photography Monthly magazines. For the last few years she has been a
landscape tutor for the Peak District Photography Centre.
Karen's stunning photographs are available in a variety
of sizes and formats. The photographs are double mounted and framed with ultra-violet filtered
glass. Larger sizes are available to order up to 50 x 75cm and
also on box canvas up to 50 x 80cm |
